"New Boy In Town" from the Old Time Radio show His Honor The Barber aired November 27, 1945 starring oscar winner Barry Fitzgerald. His Honor The Barber told the story of Judge Barnard Fitz, a wise old judge who has some comical dramatic cases. Barry Fitzgerald was an Academy Award winning Irish stage, film and television actor, but had refused all prior offers of steady radio work until this series. Barber premiered on NBC Tuesday October 16, 1945, and ran only one season for sponsor Ballantine Ale. It was written, produced, and directed by Carlton E. Morse.
