Liberty Bell Party from The Sad Sack aired on CBS August 8, 1946. The Sad Sack radio show which began in 1946 was taken from the comic strip, which debuted in June 1942 in the first issue of Yank, the Army Weekly. It starred Herb Vigran in the title role with a cast of Jim Backus, Sandra Gould, Ken Cristy and Patsy Moran.
